Manchester United’s commercial machine has rarely looked stronger, with record revenue of £677.6 million posted for the year to June despite no European football.

An operating profit of £22.6 million, new deals with Betway and SumUp, and land secured for a planned 100,000-seat stadium have all added to that sense of momentum.

The club are even selling blocks of turf from the old Old Trafford pitch for £125 apiece, a sign of how hard every revenue stream is now being worked.

United’s former players have long understood the value of the badge better than most.

Plenty have tried to build something beyond the pitch, but very few have made it work on a global scale.

One of the club’s most famous old boys has done exactly that, and he is about to add another chapter.

Sir David Beckham set for second Netflix show

Sir David Beckham is set to star in a new Netflix show, following the success of the four-part series Beckham in 2023.

His brand partner Jamie Salter confirmed the news at the Leaders Conference at Stamford Bridge, as relayed by The Sun, saying, “Following the Beckham documentary on Netflix, he is making more episodes with the channel.”

“David Beckham and Netflix are making another show, which is really cool.

“The last series has driven his business through the roof. Likewise, Victoria’s business is now going through the roof after her docuseries too.”

“You will definitely see him make more content.

“Content drives the message to the consumer.”

No release date or format has been announced yet.

The original series was a smash, drawing 12.4 million global views in its first week, including 3.8 million UK viewers for the first episode alone, and Netflix reportedly paid £16 million for it.

The numbers behind the brand are just as striking, with DRJB Holdings, the group that houses his businesses, reporting pre-tax profits up 47% to £50 million for 2025.

David Beckham Brands saw revenues rise 20% to £84 million, and Beckham received around £38 million in dividends.

BOSS also launched its BOSS BY BECKHAM Fall/Winter 2026 collection, designed with Beckham as part of that long-term partnership.

For a man who came through United’s youth ranks and won six Premier League titles and the 1999 Treble, his second act is proving every bit as lucrative as his first.
