Manchester United will be without several key players as they face Leeds United on Monday night.

Both sides are dealing with notable absentees heading into the clash at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick’s side are looking to return to winning ways after a draw at Bournemouth.

The team selection will most certainly be impacted by multiple injury concerns and a suspension.

Harry Maguire is ruled out after being sent off in United’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, leaving a gap in defence at a crucial stage of the season.

The absence could open the door for Lisandro Martinez, who has returned to training following a calf injury.

Matthijs de Ligt also remains unavailable, with the Dutch defender still recovering from a back injury which was confirmed towards the end of 2025.

There are growing concerns he may not feature again this season as his rehabilitation continues.

Patrick Dorgu is another confirmed absentee after picking up a hamstring injury earlier this year.

The Denmark international was seen holding his hamstring during United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal in January.

He scored a screamer in that match but has yet returned to action for club or country.

Leeds United are dealing with their own setbacks.

Daniel Farke has already confirmed three absences ahead of the trip to Manchester.

Anton Stach and Joe Rodon will both miss the match after suffering ankle injuries in the FA Cup clash against West Ham.

Farke admitted it is “not realistic” for either player to return before May, dealing a blow to Leeds’ defensive stability.

There will also be no reunion for Daniel James.

The former Manchester United winger has been ruled out with an adductor injury.

The Welshman, who spent just over two seasons at Old Trafford after joining in 2019, registered nine goals and eight assists during his time at the club.

With both sides missing key players, the fixture could come down to squad depth as United aim to strengthen their push for Champions League qualification.
