Sky journo gives his verdict on Tottenham vs Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur have incurred a roller coaster of a season as Ange Postecoglou‘s side has struggled to have consistency in their results and build on their campaign. These chains of inconsistent results have left the North Londoners in the eighth position in the English top tier.

Spurs do have an opportunity to climb up the table and further get closer to their top four objectives later today when the Lilywhites travel to Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth in Gameweek 14 of the Premier League. The Cherries have been playing impressively under Andoni Iraola, who has got the hosts playing coached sequences that are difficult to defend.

The North Londoners have an opportunity to get back on track and prove their credentials for a Champions League finish. Spurs supporters need to remember that despite the inconsistency, the team has been playing some impressive football and showing some promise, especially offensively. However, the defensive frailties need to be ironed out.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham: Prediction

And owing to the Lilywhites struggles, Sky Sports journalist and betting expert Lewis Jones has backed Bournemouth to take away all three points against Tottenham later today. He predicts a 3-2 scoreline to the Cherries.

Bournemouth is a well-organised side capable of causing problems, and Tottenham will need to not only defend as a unit but also ensure that they are clinical in front of goal (the latter has already proven hefty for the Lilywhites a couple of times this season).

It is important to remember that a win will take Ange’s side closer to the top four and put them back in the race for Champions League qualification, but anything less than those three points would leave Postecoglou’s side with more questions than answers.
