South Africa vs Cameroon Lineups, Preview

One of the closest Round of 16 matchups in the current AFCON tournament is South Africa vs Cameroon. Both teams finished second in their respective group to advance to the Round of 16.

Cameroon finished second in Group F with seven points, with a record of two wins and one draw in the group stage. Cameroon scored four goals and conceded two goals after three group stage matches.

In their last group stage match, Cameroon defeated Mozambique 2-1 with goals from Christian Kofane and an own goal from Mozambique's Nene.

South Africa finished second in Group B with six points, with a record of two wins and one loss. They scored five goals and conceded four goals during the group stage.

In their third match of the group, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe 3-2 with goals from Tshepang Moremi, Lyle Foster, and Oswin Appollis.

South Africa and Cameroon last played each other in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in 2016. Both matches in 2016 ended in draws, with one on March 26, 2016, ending in a 2-2 draw and one on March 29, 2016, where it finished 0-0.

If there is a draw after 90minutes, the match will go to extra time, and if the match is still a draw after extra time, there will be penalties to determine the winner.

South Africa vs Cameroon will kick off at 2 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 8 p.m. local time in Rabat, Morocco, at the Al Medina Stadium.
