Luis Suarez served a three-game suspension in the MLS this season following incidents in the Leagues Cup final. After missing the rematch against the Sounders, Charlotte FC’s 3-1 loss, and the D.C. United game, his suspension is over, but his status for the upcoming match against New York City remains uncertain.
Inter Miami managed to navigate the three-game stretch without Suarez, with returning players from international duty helping fill the gap.
Lionel Messi carried the team in the final third without his main striker, but with Suarez back and traveling to New York, things could look very different in the final rounds of the MLS regular season.

Luis Suarez’s suspension has ended, and manager Javier Mascherano will have him available for the upcoming game.
Had the suspension been longer, Suarez wouldn’t have been able to travel with the team. Despite being sidelined, he stayed in top physical shape, never missing a day of training, and is now ready to play.
