Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this evening’s friendly against Sporting Lisbon. The Scottish Champions face the Portuguese Champions in a step up in competition as teams prepare for the new season with a meeting at Estádio do Algarve.
Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals as the Dane gets his first minutes of the pre-season.
In defence, Kieran Tierney starts at left back with Tony Ralston at right back. Dane Murray and Liam Scales make up the central pairing.
In midfield, skipper Callum McGregor starts alongside Benji Nygren and Reo Hatate.
In attack, Adam Idah starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda on the left and James Forrest on the right.
As has been the feature of pre-season, Brendan will likely switch the team at half time with another XI taking the field.
