Manchester City reached an agreement with AC Milan yesterday to sign midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. The imminent signing of Reijnders does give Pep Guardiola’s squad a goal scoring midfielder they’ve desperately needed. That is one signing down for Manchester City. It now appears that City are now close to signing their second player of the summer. The player is Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Fabrizio Romano has reported today that City has reached an agreement with Wolves to sign the Algerian international. With the imminent signing of Ait-Nouri Manchester City will finally have the left-back they have lacked in their squad for so long.

Manchester City has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement that will see Rayan Ait-Nouri sign for City. Furthermore, Romano reports that the total transfer fee that will see Ait-Nouri join Pep Guardiola’s squad is €40 million. Lastly, Romano adds that the Algerian left-back is set to complete his medical ahead of his move to Manchester City on Saturday.

Algerian media outlet Dzair Tube reports that the Algerian Football Federation has received a letter from Manchester City allowing Ait-Nouri to leave Algeria’s training camp to attend a medical ahead of his expected move to City. He will miss Algeria’s upcoming friendly against Rwanda to complete a medical ahead of his move to City.

The signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri will give Pep Guardiola’s squad the left-back they desperately need.

Manchester City’s imminent signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri will give Pep Guardiola a specialist left-back to deploy. It is a position that Pep Guardiola’s squad has long needed a specialist in. No longer will Josko Gvardiol, Nathan Ake, or Nico O’Reilly be Manchester City’s first choice left-back. That position is now Rayan Ait-Nouri’s to make his own. Manchester City’s imminent signing of Ait-Nouri also gives the City squad a more complete look. If they can also sign a right-back, they’ll enter the 25/26 season with a well-balanced squad. Those are just two of the benefits of City signing Rayan Ait-Nouri. That doesn’t factor in what Ait-Nouri adds as a player to the Manchester City squad.

Manchester City’s second summer signing now appears to be complete. It also seems that Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Ait-Nouri will be a part of City’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. Fabrizio Romano also reports that the pair will undergo their medicals over the upcoming weekend. Manchester City’s goal was to bring in players for the Club World Cup. That goal is edging closer to being complete with the potential of more signings to come.
