The 'Multiple 130-RBI MLB seasons' quiz

Happy 35th birthday to eight-time MLB All-Star, 10-time Gold Glover, six-time Platinum Glove winner and five-time Silver Slugger, Nolan Arenado!

For most of the 2010’s and early 2020’s Arenado was one of, if not the best third baseman in the Major Leagues. He began his career with the Colorado Rockies, where he led the National League in home runs twice and all of baseball in RBIs (130 in 2015 and 133 in 2016) twice as well. He made five-straight All-Star games from 2015-19 with the Rockies, where he seemed to be a walking-highlight with both his bat and glove.

Arenado eventually requested a trade out of Colorado despite his large contract because he felt they weren’t doing enough to help him win, and he got his wish in the form of a trade to St. Louis ahead of the 2021 season. While he made three more All-Star teams in his first three seasons with St. Louis and led the N.L. in Wins-Above-Replacement in 2022, he never found the postseason success he was looking for.

Now he’s in his first season with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he’s hitting just .190 with two dingers and just one walk to15 strikeouts.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Arenado is one of 44 players in MLB’s Live-Ball Era (since 1920) with multiple 130-RBI seasons. How many of those players can you name in six minutes?

Good luck!
