Chelsea have no concerns about the future of Moises Caicedo after he decided to change his agents according to reports.
Caicedo announced in a statement earlier this week he would no longer be represented by Manuel Sierra and Ali Barat.
The midfielder hinted that he wanted people he could trust, and it’s understood Caicedo is now going to be advised by his family.
Caicedo has once against started the season brilliantly, and there has been talk about offering the Ecuadorian a new contract.
However, it’s been reported Chelsea might not offer Caicedo a pay rise like with Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, and may just adjust his current deal.
Caicedo has been hailed as the best midfielder in the Premier League by Gary Neville, and once again he’s been one of Chelsea’s standout players.
The Ecuador international was linked with a move to Saudi side Al-Nassr in the summer, and according to The Telegraph Chelsea have no concerns over Caicedo’s future despite him switching agents.
The report adds sources close to the Ecuador international describe him as a humble character who wouldn’t attempt to enhance his personal situation in public.
The 23-year-old is set to be well rested for Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest having not been called up for international duty by Ecuador.
Whilst Caicedo has been brilliant this season, the return to fitness of Romeo Lavia is a huge boost for Enzo Maresca.
The Belgian impressed from the bench against Liverpool, and has shown last season how important he is to this Chelsea side.
Rotation in midfield is going to be key throughout the season, and Lavia brings serious quality to the middle of the park.
With doubts over Enzo Fernandez after he returned early from international duty, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Lavia start against Forest on Saturday.
