'They need' – William Gallas names his ideal next Chelsea manager, it’s not Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea should snub Cesc Fabregas if they sack Liam Rosenior and look to appoint an experienced head like Diego Simeone according to William Gallas.

Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca in January, and signed a six and a half year contract at Stamford Bridge, although there’s understood to be a break clause.

The 41-year-old got off to a good start, but the wheels have very much fallen off and he’s coming under increased pressure following a poor run of results.

William Gallas names his ideal replacement for Liam Rosenior

Chelsea have lost their last four games in a row in all competitions, but it’s not just the defeats it’s the manner of them.

The Blues have failed to score in their last three games, and Matt Law has claimed the players don’t believe in Rosenior and his tactics.

Despite growing pressure, Chelsea appear to be backing Rosenior, but football is a results based business and their stance could quickly change if there’s not an upturn in form.

Failing to qualify for the Champions League could be fatal for Rosenior, and Gallas would like to see a more experienced manager take over.

“What kind of manager did Chelsea need? he said as quoted on X.com.

“I think it all depends on what you are looking for. For the long-term, you can bring in Cesc Fabregas because he is doing well with his club at the moment. He is young and able to speak to a young squad. He’s doing a good job.

“In the long term, he can bring Chelsea back to the positions where everybody wants to see Chelsea.

“If you are thinking about the short-term, to have success straight away, they need that experienced head to guide them like Diego Simone and with his personality he can win things very soon with Chelsea.”

Chelsea players are reportedly unhappy with the leadership of Enzo Fernandez in recent weeks, with the midfielder said to have been vocal in the dressing room after recent defeats.

Who those player’s are isn’t known, but it’s a concern if true that certain players in the squad can’t handle a few home truths in the dressing room.
