Three players to watch in Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal and Chelsea both remain unbeaten in Premier League action this season, and the two sides are set to meet on Sunday, Sept. 6. 

Arsenal are looking to defend their title, and with two games played, Mikel Arteta's side has scored four goals. 

Chelsea are coming off a disappointing 2025/26 season, which led to a change at the helm, with Xabi Alonso now taking charge of the Blues. 

The match is set to be a blockbuster, and here are three players to watch as the two London sides face each other for the first time this season. 

1. Cole Palmer, Chelsea

Palmer has had a lively start to the season, with two goals and one assist in his first two games. The Englishman is turning heads after an injury-riddled campaign last season, which led to him being left out of England's World Cup squad over the summer. 

Palmer has linked up well with fellow attackers, Joao Pedro and the newly arrived Morgan Rogers. The attacker was nominated for the Premier League's August Goal of the Month and Player of the Month after his brilliant performances. 

2. Bukayo Saka, Arsenal

Saka has scored two of Arsenal's four goals this season, and he's looked lively on the right wing for the Gunners. The English international can use his pace to outrun an often shaky Chelsea defense. 

Saka offers unpredictability, with the winger able to take on defenders both inside and outside. Saka has also found himself available in the box, which led to Arsenal's lone goal against Aston Villa. 

3. Emiliano Martinez 

Martinez joined Chelsea towards the end of the transfer window and has come in with high expectations from the Blues' supporters. The Argentinian keeper has replaced Robert Sanchez, who started the season with several errors leading to goals for Chelsea's opposition. 

Martinez will need to be alert against Arsenal, who will look to expose a Chelsea defense that has conceded five goals in the opening two matches. Arsenal's front three of Kai Havertz, Christos Tzolis, and Saka will be aiming to test Martinez early and often.
