Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in Etta Eyong

The attack was one area of their team that Tottenham Hotspur worked to reinforce with the highest priority in the last phase of the last summer transfer window. The North London side was reeling with important losses like those of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, who are both out with long-term injuries, as well as that of Son Heung-Min, who left the Lilywhites last summer.

To bolster their forward line, Spurs brought in the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Randal Kolo Muani, and there is no doubt that all of these signings have the potential to significantly enhance the team’s attack for this season.

However, Tottenham continue to be linked with other forwards in the market, and according to Fichajes, one such player whom they are keeping an eye on is the Levante forward Etta Eyong, who is having a very good start to this new La Liga season.

Since joining Levante from Villarreal last summer, the Cameroonian has already scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 4 appearances. He also scored a goal against the Spanish giants Real Madrid recently, and his overall performances have been highly impressive.

Manchester United and Chelsea also interested

As a result, his demand in the market is also rising, and in addition to Tottenham, two other Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea, are also interested in the 21-year-old forward. In fact, Spurs and the Red Devils have already stepped up their efforts to land the Cameroonian to further bolster their respective attacks.

There is no doubt that with the way he has started at Levante, Etta Eyong is a highly enticing player. The La Liga side obtained him for €3 million from Villarreal, and thus, one can reasonably expect these big Premier League sides to get the forward for an affordable price. However, the fact that the Yellow Submarines retain a right of first refusal and a sell-on clause can complicate these negotiations a bit.

If his price does not go too high, making a move for him might not be too bad an idea for Tottenham. However, they already have the likes of Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, and Randal Kolo Muani in their forward line, and it remains to be seen whether getting another center-forward would be the best idea for them going forward.
