Antoine Semenyo has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League this season. And his outburst of form has not gone unnoticed.
We have seen Tottenham Hotspur as well as Manchester United are reportedly tracking the in-form Ghanian ace ahead of a possible transfer when January comes around. And according to journalist Ekrem Konur, interest in signing the 25-year-old is “heating up”, with the Lilywhites and United said to be leading the chase.
The Cherries forward has scored six goals and provided three assists in the 2025/26 season. Those numbers place him just behind Erling Haaland in total goal contributions across the league.
The 25-year-old has that pace and physical presence which has come through. And he has taken up that star role for the Cherries this season. He has shown that direct playing style but with an end product that many top sides are now looking to bring to the table.
Alongside the aforementioned duo, Liverpool are also being linked with a move for a winger. Journalist Indy Kaila claimed that the Reds are currently leading the race. There have been reports of the Cherries looking for a price reported at £90–100 million in January. That number could possibly drop to £70 million in the summer.
Tottenham are likely to continue to be busy in the market with Thomas Frank at the helm. And we have seen that they had had some injury inconsistencies with Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke up front. This means that at the moment they don’t have anyone who can be a focal point in attack. And that is where Semenyo comes into the picture for them.
Whether the North Londoners do opt to pursue his signatures strongly in January is not known. But given his form, it is likely that they would be right in the race alongside Liverpool and maybe others who’d decide to join in later.
While for Manchester United, we now know that Ruben Amorim & Co. are tracking his developments closely. But there have been a lot of doubts around stability at Old Trafford of late, which may end up as a hesitation for Semenyo. Manchester Reds need to stabilise the ship a bit before jumping into signing him.
But that being said, United being in the race shows that there is a lot of ambition at the top to succeed.
