Tottenham already working to make another move for Manchester City forward Savinho

Even after landing Mohammed Kudus, Tottenham Hotspur continued looking for more offensive reinforcements in the final stretch of the summer transfer window. Ultimately, they were able to land two new attackers, Randal Kolo Muani and Xavi Simons, but Spurs were linked with several other forwards and tried till the very last day of the transfer window to land some of them.

One such player for whose signing the Lilywhites continued making efforts till the deadline day of the market was the Manchester City forward Savinho. The North London side had made several offers for the Brazilian in the last window, but were unable to convince Manchester City to part ways with him, despite the player’s own willingness to change sides.

Now, even after the end of the transfer window, Tottenham have seemingly not given up on this desired signing. As per a report from Fichajes, Spurs are already working to make another move for the young forward, and are willing to put in an offer that can reach up to  €100 million, €80 million fixed and €20 million in variables.

Savinho is a natural target for Spurs

It is easy to understand why the Lilywhites are so keen to get the attacker in their team. After the departure of Son Heung-Min, they naturally need another disruptive winger to make their attack more unpredictable. Savinho makes a natural target for them, especially with the speed, ability to break defensive lines, and finishing that he has shown in the last few years in the Premier League and La Liga.

Meanwhile, although he is not a starter for them, Manchester City also recognize the player’s stature, and Pep Guardiola wants to keep him in his team, which means it will not be easy for Tottenham to get the player even with such a high offer.

With the transfer window having just closed, there is still time enough to see how Manchester City utilize the player and whether he will get his desired prominence. If this does not turn out to be the case, Tottenham might find it easier to complete this operation in the future.
