Tottenham Hotspur closing in on INEOS replacement as Daniel Levy aims for financial boost

The summer of 2025 is special for every Spurs fan. We booked our Champions League berth after beating Manchester United in the Europa League final last season. It was after a difficult season where our campaign in the Premier League seemed to be falling apart. However, things are changing now, with a new manager, Thomas Frank, at the helm, and most importantly, the club have started taking some solid steps in football as well as off the field.

Tottenham’s journey have been full of ups and downs in the last few years. Be it the mess after Pochettino or the unfulfilled hopes of the Mourinho and Conte era, nothing has completely clicked. However, the Europa League showed us the way to make a comeback. And now we have got our Champions League berth. Changes are visible within the club as well. The arrival of Mohammed Kudus and the permanent signing of Mathys Tel are clear signs of this.

New preparations for the new season

Now, heading to the main news, Stefan Borson’s Football Insider report reveals that Spurs have hired an agency called Altius8. Their job is clear, and that is to get the club’s advertising and branding space to the right partners. The INEOS deal has slipped out of hand, and their replacement has not been found yet. There are rumours about naming rights, but no concrete announcement has been made yet. Borson has made it clear that the club have a lot of digital and physical advertising space, which is now the time to capitalise on.

“It’s just an agency to try and sell some more sponsorship product.

“They lost obviously the INEOS deal. I don’t think they’ve replaced it yet, so they’ll be looking to find somebody to take that partnership.

“We don’t know what’s happened with the naming rights. There was some talk a couple of weeks ago that they were about to announce a naming rights partner, but that’s so far not come to fruition.

“Clubs obviously just want a constant flow of new partners in various sub-sectors and Spurs are no different.

“The more that they can generate on that side of things is better because they’ve got a lot of inventory.

“When I say inventory, they’ve got lot of digital space, for example, to sell around the ground. They have got the physical advertising space on the sides.

“Presumably, they’ve got capacity for their players to be doing all sorts of promotions for various global partners, so it’s all normal stuff.”

Our view on this:

We are cautiously optimistic about Stefan Borson’s report. The appointment of Altius8 is a sign that the club are looking to strengthen themselves not just on the pitch, but off it too. Losing the INEOS deal was damaging, but the good news is that the club are working swiftly to find an alternative.

If the talks about naming rights become reality, it could give us a new financial boost. The stadium we have has huge potential for digital and physical branding, and it’s important to turn that into a commercial one. Signings like Kudus and Tel are only possible if we have the financial muscle.

Still, the stagnation over naming rights is a bit troubling. Hopefully, Altius8 will deliver results on this front soon. With the return of the Champions League, it’s time to bring ourselves at par with the top teams in the Premier League, and that requires not just talent, but money too.
