Tottenham Hotspur could land Bournemouth star Yoane Wissa for £50m

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a lot of potential forwards in the ongoing summer transfer window, and among the names that have been mentioned, Yoane Wissa is among the highlights given his time with incoming head coach Thomas Frank at Brentford.

We saw how the Dane head coach got the best out of Wissa at Gtech Community Stadium, and that could possibly continue at Hotspur Way given the Lilywhites longstanding interest in his signatures and that comes on the back of his evolution at Gtech Community Stadium, where he has developed into a pressing forward who possesses positional intelligence while having the capacity to play across the front line.

Adding to Kudus at N17

Tottenham had been linked with Wissa’s partner in crime, Bryan Mbeumo, but with Manchester United seemingly compounding their interest in his signature, the North Londoners could turn to DR Congo international.

Daniel Levy has already commenced the incomings in the front line with the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham earlier this month in a £55m rated move. And the 63-year-old club chairman could now turn his attention to the former Lorient striker.

Half a century in the king’s finest for Wissa…

But as the rumours follow along the mill, former Bees manager Martin Allen insists that his former employers could put up a £50m plus add-ons demand for Wissa’s signatures given how he brings a lot of dynamic presence to the front line. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Allen said:

“He scores goals, and he helps the team defend.

He’s got a great attitude, so it’s no wonder Thomas Frank wants to take him from Brentford to Tottenham. What would the fee be?

For me, it would have to be £50m. He scores goals and he wins games, those players who score goals and win games are gold dust.

He does that for Brentford, so they will be looking for £50m, minimum.

They have to put that sort of fee on him. If Spurs then get into the Champions League or anything else, the add-ons will increase that fee by quite a lot.

Tottenham prioritising Premier League moves

It does look to me that Levy is prioritising moving for players who have proven their credentials in the English top tier this window, given how the North Londoners have been linked with the likes of Eze, Morgan Gibbs-White, Marc Guehi, Nathan Collins and many more. And this can be replicated with Wissa as well.

The Lilywhites have been linked with a move for Gibbs-White, but there are still possible chances that the transfer doesn’t come through, and this is where the club can take the money and put it in Wissa’s signatures instead.
