Tottenham Hotspur are linked with another Brazilian centre-forward in the upcoming transfer window.

Spurs have included Porto striker Evanilson on their summer transfer shortlist. That is according to GiveMeSport, which claims that the Lilywhites are gearing up to potentially bring the attacker to the Premier League.

As per their sources, the North London outfit have been closely monitoring Evanilson’s performances, impressed by his clinical finishing and overall play.

However, Tottenham are not alone in their pursuit of the 24-year-old; fellow English club Newcastle United have also been keeping tabs on the target man.

The product of Fluminense’s youth system joined Porto in the summer of 2020 on a five-year contract in a transfer worth €8.8 million.

Since his arrival, Evanilson has been steadily increasing his goal tally and is currently enjoying his best campaign in terms of goal-scoring form.

The Brazilian international has netted 24 goals and provided 6 assists in his 41 appearances across all competitions this season.

His impressive form extends beyond domestic competitions, as he also made an impact in the Champions League, scoring 4 goals and providing an assist in 7 appearances.

In 152 appearances for the Portuguese club, Evanilson has scored 59 goals and assisted another 20, showcasing his consistent goal-scoring ability and playmaking skills.

Given the player’s current red-hot form, Porto have set a price tag of around £60 million for their striker, despite their desire to keep him at Estadio do Dragao.

Evanilson could potentially take over from his countryman Richarlison to lead the frontline under Ange Postecoglou if Spurs decide to sell the former Everton man.

Richarlison has been linked with a move away, with reports suggesting that Spurs will sell him if they receive a tempting offer.

With interest from Newcastle, Daniel Levy would need to act swiftly, as Evanilson could be a prospective successor to Harry Kane.
