Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo, and he is likely to cost a substantial amount of money.
According to journalist Duncan Castles, the 25-year-old is one of the fastest players in the league, and Tottenham wants to sign him. He is valued at £70 million, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.
Castles believes that the deal will be difficult. Tottenham need to improve other areas of their squad as well, and it is fair to assume that they will struggle to pay £70 million for the African attacker.
Castles said: “They [Tottenham] are looking as well at Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth, who is one of the fastest wingers in the Premier League, coming off the back of an exceptional season for the club and playing both off the wing and as a central striker. I think that’s going to be a difficult deal to do given the amount of money that Bournemouth must have already taken in. We’ll talk a little bit more about that later in the podcast, and it looks like the asking price could be as much as 70 million pounds for Semenyo.”
Semenyo had an impressive campaign with Bournemouth last year, scoring 13 goals. He picked up seven assists as well. There is no doubt that he is a top player, and he has proven himself in the Premier League.
He could transform Tottenham in the attack with his ability to create chances and find the back of the net. He is also versatile enough to operate on the flanks as well as centrally. Tottenham are in desperate need of a dynamic attacker like him.
The Ghanaian International is only 25, and he will only improve with coaching experience. He has the attributes to develop into a star for the north London club.
