Jack Grealish has been linked with a move away from Manchester City at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old midfielder has not been able to live up to the expectations since the big-money move from Aston Villa, and he is likely to be shown the door in the summer. The player has scored just 17 goals for Manchester City in 156 appearances.

Manchester City would have expected a lot more when they paid £100 million to sign the player.

Tottenham could be priced out of a move

Meanwhile, Stefan Borson has revealed to Football Insider that Tottenham have shown an interest in the player, but they could be priced out of a move. Grealish currently earns £300,000 a week, and Tottenham are unlikely to be able to afford his wages.

It will be interesting to see if any club is willing to pay that kind of money for him. Saudi Arabian clubs could afford his wages, and whether they decide to come forward and sign him in the summer remains to be seen.

“We know that Spurs have shown an interest in the player.

“But again, the question is, how does that work from a financial perspective given that they’re not going to pay him £300,000 a week either.”

Jack Grealish needs a fresh start

Manchester City need to bring in an upgrade, and the player needs a fresh start as well. He was one of the best players in the Premier League during his time at Aston Villa, and moving away from Manchester City could help him regain that form and confidence.

It remains to be seen whether he is willing to move to Saudi Arabia in the summer. A move to Tottenham could be ideal for him. They could provide him with the platform to regain his form and sharpness. However, he must accept a major payout to join the London club.

Spurs need depth in the final third, and he could slot into the wide areas as well as in a central role.
