Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign the Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from GMS, they are keen on securing his signature, and he will cost around £50 million. The player has been quite impressive for the Cottagers, and he could prove to be an excellent acquisition for Tottenham as well.

The report claims that Tottenham are growing in confidence, and they believe they can get the deal done. They have already made enquiries, and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official offer.

Tottenham need attacking depth

He has been labelled as a “proper quality striker” this past season, and he has the ability to succeed at Tottenham. They need more depth in the attacking unit, and Muniz will certainly add more cutting edge in the final third.

The player has 11 goals and two assists in all competitions this past season, and his numbers could improve when he is playing in a better team alongside top-quality creators. A move to Tottenham will be an exciting opportunity for him as well. He would get to fight for trophies with them and compete in the UEFA Champions League.

However, the asking price is quite steep, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to break the Bank for him. They will have to improve the other areas of their squad as well.

Rodrigo Muniz would be a long-term asset

The 24-year-old Brazilian striker is still relatively young, and he could improve further with coaching and experience. Even though he’s likely to cost a premium, he could develop into a player for the club in the long term. He might be able to justify the outlay in future.

The opportunity to join a bigger club will be quite exciting for the player, and he will hope that the two clubs can finalise an agreement. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Tottenham must improve their attacking unit if they want to bounce back strongly next season.
