Tottenham should look to capitalise on the Europa League success and bring in attacking reinforcements in the summer. The Lilywhites endured a tough Premier League campaign, and it is clear to see that one of the main reasons for their dismal domestic form was failing to break down a low-block team and losing games by the smallest of margins.
Now, the North London club must ensure that the attacking lineup is solid for next season as they look to compete in the top half of the league table. Last summer’s statement signing Dominic Solanke also admitted that he found life tough during the initial months at N17 following his switch from Bournemouth.
Although the England international recovered his lost form during the latter stages of the campaign, Daniel Levy must ensure that the Lilywhites bring in a new player to compete with Solanke and keep the 27-year-old on his toes next season. Richarlison failed to do that last season as the Brazilian was injured for several months. The 28-year-old also fell down the pecking order under Big Ange due to inconsistent performances.
Tottenham are looking to bolster their attack for next season as they prepare for life under Thomas Frank. The Lilywhites are aiming to bring in some quality players as the club is competing on four different fronts. It was reported earlier that Spurs were eyeing a deal for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen, and were dreaming of making him their statement signing for next year.
Now, the North London club have received a major setback in their efforts to land the 28-year-old in the summer. As per Claret and Hugh, reports linking Jarrod Bowen to Spurs are ‘utter rubbish.’ West Ham United have no intention of letting their captain leave in the summer and are under no pressure to sell the England international as his contract runs until 2030.
This aligns with previous reports suggesting Bowen has made it clear that he will head for pastures new in the summer only if the club forces him out. The England international looks settled at the London Stadium and wants to create more history with the Hammers before even considering a move to a different club.
It is fair to say that the prolific attacker is a modern-day West Ham legend and he will be a great addition to the Spurs team under Thomas Frank. As per Sofascore, Bowen ended last season with 36 appearances to his name, while also registering 14 goals and eight assists in all competitions. Bringing him to N17 will surely be an upgrade and Daniel Levy will make a strong statement indicating that the club are not messing around in the summer.
