All eyes are on Tottenham star Heung-Min Son as summer exit is on the cards for the 32-year-old

Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son has rightfully earned the legendary status at N17. The South Korea has been at the club through all the ups and downs and has gone through all the emotions while donning the Lilywhite jersey. From missing out on the Premier League title in his first season with the club, to losing the Champions League final in 2019 against Liverpool.

The 32-year-old has seen it all while playing for Spurs. However, it is fair to suggest that the near misses and heartaches were all worth it as Son finally managed to win his first trophy with the Lilywhites last season. Under Son’s captaincy, Spurs managed to defy all odds and win the Europa League by beating Manchester United in the final.

The legacy created by the South Korean will be remembered by the fans in all its glory for a long time to come. And the 32-year-old has earned the right to decide what is right for his future as Tottenham look to kickstart a new era under Thomas Frank. Son signed a one-year extension on his contract earlier this year, so all eyes will be on the winger as he decides whether he wants to continue at N17 or call it quits in the summer.

Tottenham star Heung-Min Son is facing an uncertain future at N17

Fans are waiting anxiously as Heung-Min Son’s future at Tottenham is hanging in the balance. The South Korea international did not enjoy a stellar individual campaign last season, and it is fair to say that the 32-year-old is heading towards a steady decline in form as time ticks on. He was far from his best last season and also failed to make an impact for a stretch of games.

It was reported earlier that Son was linked with a Saudi move in the summer as he wanted to test himself in a new environment. The South Korea international only has a year remaining in his contract, and believes that he might not feature regularly under Thomas Frank. The aforementioned report also stated that Spurs are willing to cash-in on the winger if a suitable offer comes their way in the coming weeks.

Now, there is a new update in the transfer saga involving the South Korean. As per TBR Football, LAFC have held talks with the 32-year-old as they look to lure him to the BMO Stadium for next season. The MLS club has freed up a Designated Player Spot for Son as well, after Olivier Giroud left the club to sign for Lille earlier last week.

Heung-Min Son has a huge decision to make regarding his future as he looks for regular game-time. The Spurs No.7 is under no pressure to decide quickly as he has earned the right to assess his options and decide on his future when the timing is right. The Lilywhites are looking to add a quality replacement to their squad if the South Korean does decide to head for the exit doors in the coming weeks.

It was reported earlier that Spurs are interested in signing RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons for next season. Daniel Levy views him as an ideal candidate to replace Son and start on the left-flank. The Dutchman is also keen on a summer move as Leipzig missed out on Champions League football for next season by finishing 7th in the Bundesliga.
