Tottenham could be in the market for another forward after Savinho and Omar Marmoush.

Tottenham Hotspur moved quickly in the summer transfer window to wrap up six signings after narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of last season. The officials are now working hard to end the transfer window on a high note.

The North London club are now closing in on a double deal for Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City. Savinho and Marmoush have been devoid of regular opportunities at Man City in the last two seasons and want to leave the club to relaunch their careers in the Premier League. The attacking duo apparently feel joining Roberto De Zerbi’s forces at White Hart Lane could reinvigorate their careers.

It is widely believed that after Savinho and Marmoush, Tottenham could target another versatile forward to beef up their attacking unit.

Tottenham make approach for Chelsea outcast

Former manager Tim Sherwood recently urged Spurs to make a move for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, suggesting that he could provide solution to their problems in attack.

Nicolas Jackson spent the last season on loan at Bayern Munich. After Bayern Munich decided against triggering a buy option, the Senegalese international has returned to Chelsea. However, the Blues do not have the 25-year-old in their plans this season and want to offload him. They value him at around £65million.

Now, according to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham are among some clubs to have made an approach for Jackson. Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are all lining up moves for the Chelsea outcast, who still has six years to run on his current deal.

Aston Villa have been long-term admirers of the African star, with Unai Emery knowing him very well since their days together at Villarreal. Atletico Madrid and Napoli could challenge Villa for the centre-forward’s signature, but Tottenham making an approach should surprise the fans.

De Zerbi is in search of an elite goalscorer, with neither Dominic Solanke nor Richarlison reliable in terms of fitness and consistency. Tottenham certainly need a new No.9 to lead their attack and bring a different dimension to the final third. Jackson, in that regard, does not tick the boxes. He has not lived up to the expectations at Chelsea, whilst not pulling up trees on loan at Bayern last season.

The Pensioners would want a bidding war to erupt in an attempt to get the best deal possible for Jackson. However, Tottenham making an approach for the player is unlikely to go down well within the fanbase.
