Tottenham ‘ready to go into battle’ for 25-year-old Premier League utility man

Lloyd Kelly has been linked with a move from Tottenham Hotspur in recent months.

The 25-year-old Bournemouth defender Is nearing the end of his contract and he will be a free agent at the start of July.

Journalist Graeme Bailey has now revealed to HITC that Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Liverpool are all keen on securing his services on a free transfer and Tottenham are ‘ready to go into battle’ for him.

Kelly is versatile enough to operate as a central defender as well as a left-back. He could prove to be the ideal utility signing for Tottenham as they look to beef up their defensive options.

Tottenham have put together an impressive starting lineup and they need to add some depth to their squad in order to compete for major trophies in the coming seasons.

Kelly will want to join a big club and the opportunity to move to Tottenham will be a tempting proposition for him. The defender is entering his peak years and he will want to compete at the highest level.

Tottenham are well placed to secure Champions League qualification and they could be the ideal destination for him next season.

The versatile defender is certainly good enough to play in Europe, and it will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground running at Spurs if the transfer goes through.

The 25-year-old could prove to be a major bargain for him if they can snap him up on a free transfer.
