Tottenham has several key moves to make before the Premier League kicks off, and securing Luka Vuskovic’s future was one of them. The 18-year-old Croatian center back has been on the radar of top clubs in both the Bundesliga and La Liga — but Spurs are determined to keep him.

Over the past decade, Tottenham has had no shortage of talent, especially during the Harry Kane era. Still, silverware remained out of reach. Now, nearly every player from that period has moved on — except Heung-min Son and Ben Davies. And with Son expected to leave soon, Davies could be the last man standing.

Following in the footsteps of defensive stalwarts like Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, Spurs have found another gem in Micky van de Ven. Widely regarded as one of the top center backs in the Premier League, he’s become a key figure in the backline — but he’ll need support. Tottenham sees Vuskovic as part of that future.

Still, his lack of first-team experience may lead the club to consider a loan move to help him grow.

While interest from clubs in Germany and Spain has been strong, no formal deal has been struck yet. With Thomas Frank stepping in as Tottenham’s new manager, the team is entering a full rebuild — and young, promising players like Vuskovic could prove valuable during what promises to be a transitional season.

New Coach, New Chance for Luka Vuskovic

Tottenham loaned Luka Vuskovic to KVC Waterloo last season, where he made 36 appearances, scored seven goals, and added one assist — impressive numbers for a center back.

So far in training, the coaching staff seems pleased with Vuskovic’s development. Still, his young age could be a factor when it comes to earning a starting spot. On the flip side, Thomas Frank has little to lose by testing fresh talent alongside Micky van de Ven or Romero.

The manager will have bigger headaches elsewhere — especially in attack. Richarlison is a well-known name around the world, but his goal output has been underwhelming, and criticism of his ball control is spreading across social media.
