Tottenham Hotspur showing serious interest in Manchester City star Jack Grealish

Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in reinforcements in the summer. The Lilywhites have endured a disastrous campaign, and Daniel Levy needs to show ambition heading into the summer transfer window. The squad has been hit with an injury crisis this season, so addressing that and bringing in the necessary players will be the focal point for Spurs as the season is nearing an end.

The North London club have done a tremendous job in the recent transfer windows. It is clear to see that Spurs have changed their recruitment strategy and are focusing on adding young talents to their ranks at N17. The Lilywhites are planning to build a team for the future and have certainly taken the right steps in the last few years.

Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are two of the best examples of Tottenham executing their transfer strategy perfectly. The pair have been the standouts for Ange Postecoglou and they have already won over the fans this season. If Spurs can follow the same route again in the summer, it is very likely that the club would compete at the top end of the table and fight for titles.

Tottenham leading the race for Man City star Jack Grealish

Tottenham need to bring in a few experienced players in the summer as well. With club captain Heung-Min Son struggling to find form and Timo Werner heading for an exit, the Lilywhites need to find replacements and bring in a world-class player to fill the void for next season. It is very likely that the club would focus on bringing in a proven talent to bolster the attack.

According to Caught Offside, Spurs are interested in bringing in Manchester City star Jack Grealish for next season. The North London club have been following the England international’s journey for quite some time and want to bring him to N17 to compete with Heung-Min Son. Manchester City do not see the 29-year-old as ‘untouchable’ and will be willing to offload him for around £38-43 million.

However, Tottenham face competition for the ex-Aston Villa star. Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are also interested in signing Grealish and are willing to offer a spot in the starting eleven straight away. It is also believed that participation in the Champions League next season will play an important part in Grealish’s decision-making process.

Should Tottenham go all in for Grealish?

Tottenham need to address the left-wing problems in the summer. However, making a move for Jack Grealish is not the right answer for the Lilywhites. The Manchester City winger has struggled to make an impact since joining the Cityzens. He is also not a regular in the starting eleven anymore under Pep Guardiola.

Grealish’s age is also a factor that Spurs should consider. The North London club will not get a good resale value if they decide to sell the England international in the future. The signing will also be against the club’s transfer strategy. Spurs can do a lot better by targeting younger players instead and developing them into world-class talents.

Another stumbling block for Daniel Levy would be the salary demands of the 29-year-old. He is on a high salary at Etihad Stadium, and Spurs would have to break the bank if they decide to sign the Man City star. The Lilywhites might also miss out on Champions League football next season, which would be an important factor in Grealish’s decision-making.
