Tottenham are gearing up for the new season under newly appointed manager Thomas Frank following the successful European campaign. As the transfer window continues, the club appears ready to undergo a significant summer overhaul.
After bringing Frank in to replace Ange Postecoglou, chairman Daniel Levy is keen to support the Danish coach in the transfer market. While Spurs haven’t confirmed any major signings yet, aside from making Mathys Tel’s loan move permanent, now are actively working on new deals. According to Fabrizio Romano , Tottenham are now expected to submit a fresh bid for West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus, with Frank giving the move his approval.
Having finished 17th in the league and a miserable domestic campaign, reinforcements are clearly required ahead of next season. Spurs ended the season with a purposed high after winning the Europa League trophy in a final victory over Manchester United, however, their overall performances in front of “home” fans left a lot to be desired. Subsequently, the fan-favourite Manager Ange Postecoglou was sacked but still delivered on promised silverware. Now, all eyes now turn to the following season and how Tottenham Hotspur will react.
While Mohammed Kudus may not have been among the Premier League’s standout performers overall, he has certainly been one of West Ham’s top contributors in recent seasons. Last term, he registered nine goal contributions across 35 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Tottenham’s initial bid for Kudus was rejected. However, Spurs are preparing to return with a new offer in the coming days. Thomas Frank has given the green light for the signing, and Kudus is eager to make the switch to north London this summer.
The Journalist speaking about Kudus, in his recent YouTube Video explained
“What I’m told about Kudus is that Tottenham made the first proposal to West Ham. It was rejected because West Ham didn’t want to accept that value for the player, something around £50m for Mohammed Kudus. But first point, Tottenham are expected to bid again for Kudus, so in the next days, Tottenham want to attack again.”
“Second point, Thomas Frank has approved internally, Mohammed Kudus as a top target for Tottenham this summer, as a crucial target for Tottenham this summer, so they are prepared to advance and push for Kudus and then the player side. Probably the best news for Spurs fans is that my understanding is that Kudus wants to go to Tottenham.”
Tottenham have to move quickly to secure Kudus, especially with the possibility of other clubs being in the mix. Reports say Chelsea are trying to hijack the deal but the good news for Spurs fans is that the player has no issue going to Thomas Frank. That could be very important to getting the deal done.
