Khephren Thuram continues to be of interest to Tottenham Hotspur but Juventus hold firm

Ever since his move to the Serie A giants from OGC Nice, Khephren Thuram has been a brilliant player for Juventus. Despite a minor calf injury that sidelined him briefly in September 2025, Thuram has featured in nine Serie A matches this season, contributing one goal and two assists.

The 24-year-old midfielder brings a great sense of assurance, whether that be in terms of technical ability, physical presence, or passing range. Owing to his top-class club form this season, he earned his first national start for France, playing in central midfield for the entire 90 against Azerbaijan.

Thuram’s attributes have attracted attention from Europe’s elite clubs, with Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur leading the pursuit, as per Tuttojuve and Calciomercato.

Ideal PL midfielder!

Thuram embodies the dynamic central midfielder profile teams cry out loud for in the English top-tier: Quick, strong in duels, adept at ball recovery, and capable of dictating tempo. Juventus view him as “untouchable“.

While he has surely been practically undroppable for Juve, Serie A clubs’ struggle for cash cannot be overlooked, and even their untouchable midfield maestro shall carry a price tag. Transfermarkt quotes €40m for the player, but take that with a pinch of salt because market dynamics work totally differently to that.

In case he moves in January, Thuram would likely serve as a backup option behind the duo of Bentancur and Palhinha, who have anchored the side effectively. Thuram’s versatility could see him rotate in deeper roles during cup ties or European matches, allowing the management to maintain freshness in a high-intensity system.

Time will tell whether or not Spurs actually go out and get the player on board. We are not short of cash; we can pay the asking price for a midfielder in demand (it has to make sense), and we need more bodies in the middle of the park. He can be a top-class player if we play our cards at the right time.
