Tottenham ‘top the list’ for title-winner, 19-G/A summer target will cost them €60 million

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Barcelona attacking midfielder Dani Olmo during the summer transfer window.

The Spanish international has 19 goal contributions for Barcelona this past season, and he helped them win the league title. However, Barcelona are prepared to get rid of the player this summer.

They could sell him for a fee of around €60 million. According to Fichajes, Tottenham ‘top the list’ of suitors looking to sign the player. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

It is no secret that Tottenham need more quality and depth in the final third, and Olmo would be a solid acquisition. The player is at the peak of his career, and he has the technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League. He is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. He could be the ideal replacement for the injured James Maddison.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite interesting for the Barcelona star as well. He will be disappointed that the Spanish outfit is prepared to get rid of him. However, Barcelona are going through financial difficulties and they are looking to raise funds.

Tottenham have the finances to get the deal across the line, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal to get the deal done. While the €60 million asking price might seem expensive, the player has the quality to thrive in the Premier League and he could justify the investment in future. He has proved himself in Germany and Spain. He has been a key player for his country as well. There is no doubt that he could be a star in the Premier League.
