Cristian Romero remains suspended, following his sending off against Manchester United. 

Wilson Odobert is the latest addition to the injury list after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Newcastle United. 

There are concerns around Solanke’s availability, although both he and Richarlison participated in training this week. 

When asked whether any injured players would return for the derby in Friday’s press conference, interim head coach Igor Tudor said: “Probably no. Solanke had some problems with his throat, but today, he made some training. All others, probably someone [will return] next week.”

Tudor’s comments suggest Solanke is being monitored rather than ruled out, making him a likely starter if he responds well before Sunday.

Despite Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard being withdrawn against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the pair are expected to return. 

Captain Martin Ødegaard and Kai Havertz could also be available.

Speaking in his press conference, Mikel Arteta said: “Well, we have to wait until tomorrow, but there is a big possibility that they are available for the game.”

Asked about fresh injury concerns, Arteta stated: “No, nothing new.”
