One of the most exciting Round 3 games of the FA Cup this weekend is Tottenham Hotspur hosting Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Both teams will make their FA Cup debut this season, but one of them will be eliminated today.

The two teams played in the Premier League during the week, with neither getting a win away from home.

Spurs are 14th in the Premier League with 27 points and have a record of seven wins, six draws, and eight losses. During the week, they lost 3-2 to Bournemouth.

Mathys Tel and Joao Palhinha scored for Spurs, but a last-minute winner from Antoine Semenyo gave Bournemouth all three points.

Aston Villa went away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Spurs and Aston Villa played each other in the Premier League earlier this season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 19, 2025. Spurs took the lead through a goal from Rodrigo Bentancur, but Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendia completed the comeback to give Villa a 2-1 win.
