Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Slovenian attacker Benjamin Sesko at the end of the season.
According to Fichajes, they have now put together an ambitious reinforcement plan after winning the UEFA Europa League. They have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they want to sign quality players this summer.
They have identified the 21-year-old RB Leipzig striker as a target. The player has 21 goals to his name this season, and he could prove to be an excellent acquisition.
He has been likened to the Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs by popular pundit Tony Cascarino.
Cascarino said: “He gets linked to being similar to Haaland, but if you watch him play, he dribbles, like Ryan Giggs.”
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get a deal across the line. He would be a quality long-term acquisition for them, and he could share the goalscoring burden with Dominic Solanke. Tottenham need more depth in the attacking unit, and the 21-year-old could be the ideal acquisition.
The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite exciting for the player as well. Regular football in England could help him develop further and fulfil his potential. It remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the player.
Champions League qualification will certainly boost their transfer coffers heading into the summer transfer window, and the Slovenian is likely to be an expensive acquisition. He has a contract with the German club until 2029, and they are unlikely to sanction his departure for cheap. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay a premium for him.
