Tuttosport newspaper reports that Douglas Luiz’s move to Nottingham Forest is ‘no longer in doubt’ following a new round of talks on Sunday.
Juventus are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Nottingham Forest over the sale of Douglas Luiz.
According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are ready to let the Brazilian go on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy or an option to purchase tied to easily achievable targets.
Other sources claim that Douglas Luiz has already agreed to personal terms with Forest, so the only thing missing to finalise the deal is an agreement between the two clubs.
Douglas Luiz’s amortised cost at the Allianz Stadium is currently around €39m, but Forest’s latest offer is set at €30m.
For this reason, Juventus are open to letting the Brazilian leave on an initial loan move, so the amortised cost will decrease next year, when Forest are expected to make the midfielder’s move permanent.
According to the report, Juventus have already identified Brighton’s Matt O’Riley as Douglas Luiz’s replacement.
