Igor Tudor believes Andrea Cambiaso can play for Liverpool, Real Madrid or Manchester City ‘shortly’ but he has to be more consistent: ‘It’s up to him to decide.’

Juventus coach Tudor feels Italy international Cambiaso has the potential to play in the best clubs in the World.

The versatile full-back was linked with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window, but ended up staying at Juventus.

The 25-year-old has only made two Serie A appearances this season as he received a straight red card for violent conduct on Matchday one, resulting in a two-game ban.

Tudor praises versatile Cambiaso

During a press conference on Friday, Tudor was asked whether Cambiaso can play as a box-to-box midfielder, but the Croatian tactician said much more in his reply: “He can play as a mezzala. He has a different kind of mind, in a good way. As a full-back, he sees things as a midfielder. Sometimes he moves inside, and he feels the positions. I give the guys a bit of freedom to adapt on the pitch in the best way according to their qualities.

Tudor believes Cambiaso can play for Liverpool, City or Real Madrid

“He’s a top-level player. He needs to be more consistent in his performances, and he has to work and grow. It always depends on him,” Tudor continued.

“Potentially, he’s a player for the best clubs in the world, but it’s up to him to decide. He can play at Liverpool, Real Madrid or Manchester City, the top clubs in the world, but he has to say: ‘I’ll get there because every Sunday, I’m the best.’ If he says that, he can go and play there shortly.”

During his pre-match press conference on Friday, Tudor suggested that Francisco Conceiçao may not be available against Atalanta tomorrow due to minor fitness issues.
