Wales vs Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup Qualifier: Preview, Lineups

During this March international break, 16 European teams will compete for four direct spots for the 2026 World Cup.

16 teams have been divided into four 'paths', with each 'path' having four teams competing for one direct spot to the 2026 World Cup. The playoffs start with two semifinals in each path, and the winners of the semifinals face off for a direct spot that qualifies them for the World Cup.

Wales vs Bosnia & Herzegovina is semifinal 2 of Path A of the UEFA World Cup playoffs, with semifinal 1 of Path A being Italy vs Northern Ireland.

Wales will host Bosnia & Herzegovina at Cardiff Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Both teams reached this stage of the UEFA World Cup Qualifiers after finishing second in their respective groups of the UEFA World Cup qualification.

Wales finished second in Group J with 16 points in a group that consisted of Belgium, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan, and Liechtenstein.

Bosnia & Herzegovina finished second in Group H of the UEFA World Cup Qualifiers with 17 points in a group that consisted of Austria, Romania, Cyprus, and San Marino. In their previous match, Bosnia drew 1-1 with Austria, who qualified for the World Cup.

Wales' previous match in the World Cup qualifiers was a 7-1 win over North Macedonia, where Harry Wilson scored a hat trick.

Wales vs Bosnia & Herzegovina will kick off at 3:45 p.m. ET/ 12:45 p.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 7:45 local time at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
