The official Serie A YouTube channel uploaded the highlights from Saturday’s disappointing stalemate between Lazio and Cremonese.

In the opening minutes, Matteo Guendouzi passed the ball straight to his opponent, Federico Bonazzoli, who went for the audacious long-range effort, but it sailed over Ivan Provedel’s goal. After the half-hour mark, Pedro tried his luck from distance, but couldn’t hit the target.

The second half saw a slight improvement, but the action remained under-par. Danilo Cataldi picked up Taty Castellanos from a corner kick, but the Argentine’s header was too central to trouble Emil Audero. At the other end of the pitch, Jamie Varday beat the offside trap and had the opportunity to score from a free header thanks to Bonazzoli’s exquisite cross, but his attempt went wide.

Bonazzoli then tested Provedel with a low drive that the Lazio goalkeeper was able to gather. Adam Marusic also couldn’t beat Audero with a hopeful long-range shot.

In the dying embers of the match, Tijjani Noslin and Guedouzi embarked on a swift counterattack. The Frenchman was able to pick up Matteo Cancellieri following a glorious run, but Federico Ceccherini brought down the Italian winger on the edge of the box. The Cremonese defender was given his marching orders, but Cataldi’s ensuing free-kick went just over the crossbar, ending the match goalless.
