The two teams faced off last Saturday, with the Americans defeating the Koreans 4-0 thanks to double goals from Mallory Swanson and Tierna Davidson.

This friendly break is the return of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team after winning the SheBelieves Cup. Today they play the second of two consecutive friendlies against South Korea in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Emma Hayes made her debut as the team’s coach last Saturday and will be looking to lead the team to a second straight win. The former Chelsea FC manager will use these games to help determine the roster for the Olympics.

Failing to qualify for Paris 2024, South Korea ended a run of two consecutive friendly victories against the Philippines with scores of 3-0 and 2-1. The South Koreans have never beaten the USWNT in their 16 meetings, recording 12 losses and four draws. Interestingly, all of those matches were friendlies played in the United States.
