West Ham United offered players to sell Mateus Fernandes

The Mateus Fernandes transfer saga is continuing as the transfer window officially approaches the end of its second week.

Multiple clubs remain interested including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United although any winning party may have to fend off interest from other clubs first.

Spurs have previously reached an agreement with Fernandes over a possible deal although remain unaligned with the Hammers surrounding the transfer fee.

That uncertainty leaves the door open for Manchester United who see the midfielder as a top transfer target for this summer’s transfer window.

It is expected that Tottenham will reach the £85 million valuation that West Ham currently have for Mateus Fernandes although no formal offer has been made of that figure just yet.

Manchester United have began lining up alternatives, targeting Alex Scott as a possible midfield option for this summer although Fernandes remains the number one target.

West Ham sources have now provided an update with EX WHU Employee reporting on their Patreon page that the Hammers continue to value Mateus Fernandes at £85 million.

The source has also revealed that the club feel that a bidding war could take place although are in no rush to sell this summer.

Most importantly, though, the source has stated that Tottenham Hotspur has offered a number of players to West Ham as part of a possible deal for Fernandes such as Mikey Moore on a loan basis.

West Ham United appear unchanged in their position whilst Spurs continue to fight for Fernandes.

Manchester United’s interest has landed the club at the top of the domestic battle whilst handing them a say in this battle.

Whether the Red Devils move for the midfielder again remains to be seen although, with clear interest there, is it likely that another move will occur.
