Over six weeks after submitting their first offer, Manchester United have today sent what they insist will be their final proposal for Bryan Mbeumo.
The ever-reliable transfer expert David Ornstein confirmed this afternoon that an offer of £65 million plus £5m in add-ons had been presented to the Bees board after United failed with their most recent bid of £55m plus £7m in add-ons.

United have yet to receive a response, but it’s been claimed by Ben Jacobs that they will not return with a higher fee in the event Brentford reject this one.
The player himself is pushing behind the scenes to complete the move, too, with Jacobs adding that Mbeumo has privately told the club’s board that United’s offer is a fair one whilst reiterating his desire to leave.
INEOS chiefs have seemingly been encouraged to test Brentford’s resolve once again due to Newcastle United’s recent approach for Yoane Wissa. It’s previously been reported that the side have no intention of losing both Wissa and Mbeumo, meaning the Reds are now in a race against time to seal an agreement for their target before his counterpart is sold.
Mbeumo, 25, would join Matheus Cunha as Ruben Amorim’s only summer additions thus far in what’s been a hugely uneventful window in M16.
Assuming he does indeed complete the transfer, fans will demand a new striker is pursued before 2025/2026 gets underway in a month’s time.
