Juventus are seeking bidders for former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, who has been deemed surplus to requirements after just one season in Turin, and reports in Italy suggest that the Bianconeri will also consider loan offers for the unwanted Brazilian this summer.
Douglas Luiz was among the most expensive signings in Serie A when he joined Juventus from Aston Villa for a fee of €50m last summer.
However, after a disappointing season in Italy in 2024-25, during which time he made just 19 Serie A appearances, only three of which came as a starter.
Juventus have recently decided that Douglas Luiz will not be part of the first-team plans for the upcoming 2025-26 season, which leaves them seeking buyers for the former Aston Villa fan favourite.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com , there are several Premier League sides considering making a move for the 27-year-old, including West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Leeds United and Fulham.
As things stand, however, Juventus have not received any formal bids for Douglas Luiz.
Saturday’s reports claim that the Bianconeri are holding out for an offer of €40m for Douglas Luiz this summer. Juve would also reportedly be prepared to accept a loan, at a cost, with an obligation to buy clause included.
