Reports in Italy confirm that €37m signing Ardon Jashari is back in Milan after a brief trip to Switzerland, where he continued his injury rehabilitation after suffering a nasty fractured fibula as the result of an unfortunate clash with teammate Santiago Gimenez in training.
Jashari became one of the most expensive Serie A signings of the summer transfer window with his €37m move from Club Brugge, but picked up a serious injury just two appearances into his Rossoneri career.
The Switzerland international was involved in an unfortunate clash with teammate Gimenez during Milan training on August 28, and scans revealed that he had suffered a fractured fibula. He had played for just 40 minutes across two substitute appearances in the Coppa Italia and Serie A before his injury.
The initial prognosis was that Jashari would be ruled out of action for around two to three months.
As things stand, Jashari is still targeting a return to action in November. As per Calciomercato.com, he will be brought in for a medical update after the October international break, at which stage it will have been six weeks since the injury occurred.
Wednesday’s update confirms that Jashari briefly returned to Switzerland to continue his injury rehabilitation process, but that he was back in Milan to watch his side during their 3-0 victory over Lecce in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night.
Calciomercato claims that the Swiss is recovering well as things stand, but an accurate return date is not likely to arrive before Jashari’s next round of medical tests.
