A move for Nicola Zalewski to join Atalanta from Inter Milan suits all parties.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They highlight the financial side of the transfer for Inter, and the playing time for Zalewski.

Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of selling Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta.

The Nerazzurri only signed the Pole on a permanent basis from Roma this summer. This after he had been on loan over the second half of last season.

Inter will pocket a fee of around €17 million. This after they had signed Zalewski for a fee of €6.5 million.

That gives an obvious clue as to why Inter were willing to negotiate so quickly to sell the 23-year-old.

Nicola Zalewski Move To Atalanta From Inter Suits All Parties

While Inter do end up with a hole in their squad depth as a result of selling Zalewski, the Polish international was hardly a first-choice starter.

And there was no indication in preseason that coach Cristian Chivu planned to use Zalewski.

By contrast, Atalanta coach Ivan Juric had pushed to keep hold of Zalewski when he was briefly in charge of Roma.

That is an indication that the Croat trusts Zalewski to play a big role.

Therefore, the 23-year-old can get plenty of playing time at the Gewiss Arena, on the left flank which has been an area of need.
