El Clásico tonight is crucial for the title race in La Liga, as a win or draw crowns Barcelona as La Liga champions for a second consecutive season, and a win for Real Madrid keeps them alive.

The match will be played at the Spotify Camp Nou, and like many El Clásico matches, fans expect a fair game from the official. The referee for tonight's El Clásico match is Alejandro Hernandez.

The Spanish referee has refereed El Clásico matches in the past, with the most recent coming last year, almost exactly a year ago, in La Liga.

Hernandez officiated FC Barcelona's 4-3 win over Real Madrid last season in La Liga, which brought controversy among fanbases from both teams.

Barcelona fans were not happy with his refereeing in last season's El Clásico match, despite winning the game 4-3 at home. Fans believed he missed fouls, red cards, and penalties in favor of Barcelona, but it didn't matter as FC Barcelona still won the match.
