LAFC is one of the few teams in the MLS playoffs to have already advanced to the next round after winning the first series in the first round.

LAFC will be playing in the Western Conference semifinals after beating Austin FC 4-1 last night at Q2 Stadium. It was LAFC's second win over Austin FC in the best-of-three series after beating them 2-1 at BMO Stadium last week.

In the first leg, LAFC defeated Austin FC 2-1 with goals from Nathan Ordoz and an own goal from Austin FC's Brendan Hines-Ike.

Last night, LAFC showed dominance and were leading 3-1 at halftime after Son Heung-Min and Denis Bouanga with a brace to put the away side ahead.

Jeremy Ebobisse scored the fourth goal for LAFC in the 93rd minute to clinch the win and a spot in the semifinals of the Western Conference. LAFC will now play against the other MLS team that secured a spot in the semifinal after two legs.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs LAFC - Western Conference Semifinals

LAFC will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Western Conference semifinals. The Vancouver Whitecaps defeated FC Dallas on penalties over the weekend in Game 2 of that series.

Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Dallas drew 1-1 after 90 minutes, and the Whitecaps defeated Dallas 4-2 on penalties after FC Dallas missed two penalties. Vancouver Whitecaps defeated FC Dallas 3-0 in Game 1 of the series in Round 1.

Unlike the first round of the MLS playoffs, the Vancouver Whitecaps vs. LAFC match will be a single-game series, with the winner advancing to the Western Conference finals.

The matchup between LAFC and Vancouver Whitecaps will be played at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, since the Whitecaps are the higher seed over LAFC. Vancouver finished second in the Western Conference, while LAFC finished third.

If the match finished in a draw after 90 minutes of regular time, the match will then go on to extra time. If the match remains a draw after extra time, the winner will be determined through a penalty shootout. Vancouver Whitecaps vs LAFC is set to be this Saturday.
