According to Sportitalia, the reason Napoli have not yet announced Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven is the issue of image rights and his representatives.
The clubs had already shaken hands early last week in a deal worth circa €25m plus add-ons and a 10 per cent cut of the future sale fee.
The Belgium international is also eager to complete the transfer to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
An announcement had been expected by now, but reasons are emerging for the delay, as well as reassurances for Napoli fans.
Sportitalia transfer pundit Gianluigi Longari points out that the problem is the image rights, something that has been a regular issue for Napoli in recent years.
In this case, there is ‘confusion’ caused by Lang’s representatives agreeing the transfer of image rights to Napoli, while agency Cresta Law feel they are due part of the deal instead.
Nonetheless, the same source insists that the transfer is not in doubt, and he should undergo his medical early next week.
