Inter sold Andrea Pinamonti to Sassuolo just a year ago but reportedly could already look to bring the striker back in the summer.

The 25-year-old striker initially joined the Neroverdi on loan back in the summer of 2022 before making a €20m move to Reggio-Emilia last year, penning a four-year contract.

Pinamonti performed well despite Sassuolo’s struggles this term, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists across 38 Serie A matches, picking up goals against clubs like Fiorentina, Milan and Juventus. He was unable to stop the club’s relegation to Serie B, leaving him in an awkward spot.

Pinamonti future

Page 23 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Inter are looking around for a fourth striker to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s squad ahead of their busy 2024-25 season and are open to bringing back Pinamonti, possibly even on loan, to replace Marko Arnautovic.

The 25-year-old would count as a home-grown player for squad registration purposes and would likely come cheaper than other options like Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson due to Sassuolo’s relegation.
