Mattia Zaccagni won’t be available for today’s game between Lazio and Torino due to a muscle injury, which leaves him in doubt for upcoming Italy games as well.

Lazio announced on Saturday that Zaccagni would not be available for today’s game against Torino.

“Following discomfort experienced during yesterday’s training session and after consultation with the medical staff this morning, Mattia Zaccagni won’t be available for Lazio-Torino,” the Biancocelesti said in a statement.

The club added that Zaccagni has suffered “muscle soreness affecting his adductor” and that “the player will undergo instrumental tests on Monday to assess the extent of the issue.”

Zaccagni in doubt for Italy games

Pedro is expected to replace Zaccagni in Lazio’s starting XI today.

The winger’s injury leaves him in doubt for Italy’s games too, given that the Lazio star is among the 27 players called up by Gennaro Gattuso for World Cup qualifying fixtures against Estonia and Israel.
