Udinese have agreed a paid loan for Nicolò Zaniolo from Galatasaray, with two different options to buy at the end of the season.
It is a rush to get it over the line and finalised before the transfer deadline.
The summer transfer window in Serie A ends today at 20:00 CET (19:00 BST). Make sure you follow all the live updates and confirmed transfers on the Football Italia LIVEBLOG.
The player has already completed his medical tests and is waiting for the clubs to get it all put on paper.
According to Sky Sport Italia, it is a rather complicated arrangement, so this could take a while.
Udinese are set to pay €3m for the one-season loan and have two different options to buy at the end of the season.
The first is worth €5m, but leaves Galatasaray a 50 per cent cut of the future sale fee.
Another alternative is for Udinese to pay €10m and let that be the end of Galatasaray’s involvement with the forward.
The 26-year-old is only under contract with the Turkish team until June 2027, as he went on several loan spells to Aston Villa, Atalanta and Fiorentina, without ever managing to make a move stick.
Galatasaray purchased Zaniolo from Roma in 2023 for €15m, after he had refused to play for the Giallorossi again.
