Let’s begin by looking at the top ten teams ranked for having the dirtiest stadiums and arenas across the four major leagues:
The NHL’s Calgary Flames play at Scotiabank Saddledome, which is ranked as the most unhygienic stadium. With 61,840 total mentions and 6,220 negative words associated with hygiene, that makes 10.06% of mentions with negative words. Thus, they take the number one spot across all four leagues for the dirtiest sports arena.
Canadian Tire Centre is where you’ll find the Ottawa Senators playing NHL games. They have 57,180 total mentions, 5,380 of which are negative words associated with hygiene, making up 9.41% of all mentions.
Another NHL team, the Edmonton Oilers, play at Rogers Place. They have 165,940 total mentions, with 15,520 containing negative words associated with hygiene, which is 9.35% of the total negative feedback.
Moving to the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles play at Lincoln Financial Field. With 117,300 total mentions, they have received 10,680 negative words associated with hygiene, which is 9.10% in total.
Also in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field have 182,920 total mentions, with 13,600 negative words associated with hygiene, which is 7.43% (a significantly lower volume than the top four).
The Vancouver Canucks in the NHL play at Rogers Arena, which has 166,600 total mentions, 12,320 negative words associated with hygiene, which is 7.39% of mentions that include negative descriptions.
The Canada Life Centre, where the Winnipeg Jets play their NHL matches, has 48,940 total mentions and 3,580 negative words associated with hygiene, resulting in 7.32% of mentions including negativity.
The NFL’s Washington Commanders and the Northwest Stadium come in at number 8, with 42,260 total mentions, and 2,500 negative words associated with hygiene. That’s 5.92% of mentions that include negative feedback.
Bridgestone Arena hosts the Nashville Predators and their NHL matches. This venue has 113,080 total mentions, 6,620 negative words associated with hygiene and 5.85% of mentions that include them.
At number 10, the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres are based at KeyBank Center, which received 32,080 total mentions. There are 1,840 negative words associated with hygiene, which is 5.74% of mentions that contain them.
Now, let’s focus on the NFL and see which stadiums are the dirtiest according to our data:

Moda Center (Portland Trail Blazers) – 4.47% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Ball Arena (Denver Nuggets) – 4.21% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Crypto.com Arena (Los Angeles Lakers) – 4.11% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Fiserv Forum (Milwaukee Bucks) – 4.06% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have the best ranking for hygiene. The Intuit Dome has 191,260 total mentions and 2,340 negative words associated with hygiene, which is just 1.24%.
This may or may not surprise you, but the NHL hosts seven out of the ten dirtiest major league stadiums and arenas. Here are the top five:

Great American Ball Park (Cincinnati Reds) – 5.32% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
American Family Field (Milwaukee Brewers) – 4.92% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Coors Field (Colorado Rockies) – 4.75% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Nationals Park (Washington Nationals) – 4.68% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
Truist Park (Atlanta Braves) – 4.41% of mentions with negative words associated with hygiene.
We then have the stadium that scores highest in the MLB for hygiene, which is IoanDepot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins. With 56,540 total mentions and just 700 negative words associated with hygiene, this venue achieved 1.24%.
