Boat Rams Jet Ski Driver in Drunken Rampage (Video)

Little details have been released as to what exactly happened, who was involved, the extent of injuries, or if any arrests were made. However, according to local news, here’s what we do know:

“According to the sheriff’s office, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at about 8:50 PM, Delta Station deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a reported boating incident in the waterways near North Victoria Canal. An argument between two boaters escalated into one of them pursuing the other causing a collision and injury to the boater being pursued. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  This incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Marine Services Unit. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call:  925-383-4906.”

As for injuries, local news added: “Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR also responded to the scene for a potential water rescue, however, they were told to stage as this was possibly a criminal investigation. Upon arrival, all occupants were out of the water and sustained minor injuries.  The sheriff’s office said Sunday they believed the boat was launched out of Orwood Resort.

Comments on the video were, as expected, mostly scathing towards the boat driver. And they speculated as to what the driver could be charged with, and the likelihood of alcohol being involved.

“That’s assault with a deadly weapon at the least for purposely running over the jet ski guy, no?” – one person wrote.

“That’s attempted murder actually. Time for jail.” – wrote another.

“Wasted. No one drives a boat like that unless they are drunk.” – typed yet another.

As for criminal charges related to the incident, local news reported: “They also would not say if attempted murder charges would be filed given videos shows the boat intentionally ramming into the jet skier in the dock area while striking multiple other boats and causing damage. It’s also unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved.”
